Counterweights

Light industry counterweights are formed from sheet metal or profiles through processes like stamping and surface treatment.

Functionally, counterweights are used to adjust weight distribution and enhance equipment stability. Typical applications include excavator/crane counterweights, ship ballast, telephone handset weights, and balancing components for small household appliances. The primary material is cast iron, but newer materials such as ductile iron and stainless steel are also used. The production process involves equipment such as shot blasting machines and sand mixers.
